The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a La Jonquera Local Police officer this Tuesday in Llançà for breaching a family restraining order and driving with a criminal blood alcohol level.

The incident began around 5:00 PM after a 112 emergency call reported the violation. Llançà Local Police intercepted the 54-year-old man on Europa Avenue, where he tested positive for alcohol with a rate exceeding 0.60 mg/l.
The La Jonquera City Council has launched a disciplinary investigation and banned the officer from entering the police station. The officer had already been assigned to non-operational duties without a firearm for several months.
