The Festival Commission of L'Armentera has prepared the Festa Major in honor of Santa Cristina, which will take place from July 23rd to 26th. The commission highlights the involvement of young people in the organization and encourages participation in the balcony decorating contest, with prizes of dinners for two at local restaurants.
The celebrations will begin on Thursday evening with a popular dinner featuring Cesc Sansalvador, continuing the commitment to local artists. Thanks to a proposal from the participatory budgets, the City Council has created a new beach volleyball court which will host a tournament on Friday at 5 PM. The program also includes a solemn mass, a sardana concert in plaça Catalunya, the Correfoc with the Diables Rojos and Cremats de la Múnia, and a youth night.
On Saturday, the Correbars will start at 9 PM from the sports court, with the Batucada Tambòrian’s and the Xaranga Buidant la Bota animating the route.
The festival will conclude on Sunday evening with a performance by the group Aigua Clara, who will present new habaneras and popular Catalan songs.
