FC l'Escala fought back to claim a 1-1 draw against Cerdanyola this Monday, with a dramatic late penalty ensuring the points were shared at the municipal stadium.

The home side dominated much of the contest, especially after Cerdanyola were reduced to ten men in the 40th minute. However, visiting goalkeeper Àlex Baño produced a series of world-class saves to keep David Gurillo's side at bay for most of the match.
Against the run of play, Pol Sánchez gave the visitors the lead in the 87th minute. l'Escala responded deep into injury time when Umaru won a penalty, which was calmly converted by Adri Expósito to secure a vital point for the fourth-placed team.
