Lladó's Festa Major del Carme will take place from July 9th to 11th, coinciding with the contests between local groups Pinsans and Esparvers, which begin on July 4th.

The 'Proves entre els Pinsans i els Esparvers' (Contests between the Pinsans and the Esparvers), the traditional competition between the town's two rival groups, will kick off on Saturday, July 4th. These contests include activities such as a blood donation competition, a foosball tournament, a football match, a 'rock, paper, scissors' game, and the Decoration Point, where groups will compete to beautify the streets of Lladó. According to mayor Jordi Puig, this rivalry is healthy and does not involve physical prizes.
Starting Thursday, July 9th, the activities for the Festa Major del Carme will commence. The opening will be marked by the 'Pregonet d'Inici de Festa' (Little Opening Proclamation) at half-past eight, presented by local pharmacist Agnès Aldrich, followed by the inaugural Txupinassu and the popular Botifarrada (sausage feast) at nine in the evening, a dinner that brings together the town's residents.
The 'Nit Jove' (Young People's Night) on Friday, July 10th, at half-past eleven at night, will feature performances by Groggy Rude, La Mitjanit, and DJ Ivanote.
Saturday, July 11th, will be dedicated to the youngest attendees with a children's activity by REMULLA'T at the municipal pool at ten in the morning. In the afternoon, Joana Santamans will deliver the Festa Major proclamation, followed by a concert by HAVANERES ALTAMAR. In the evening, at half-past nine, the 'CORRECARRERS' (Street Runner) will take place in the Plaça Major, organized by Xaranga Entrompats, which is being held for the first time this year after being cancelled the previous year due to rain. Tickets can be purchased at El Raconet or digitally at entrapolis.com. The day will conclude with the 'Nit de Versions' (Cover Night) featuring Boom Boom Fighters & Cookah P Miops and DJ Doris, starting at midnight.
Sunday, July 12th, the final day of the festival, will begin with the Solemn Mass. In the afternoon, at six o'clock, there will be sardana dancing with La Principal de Cassà, and at half-past seven, the 'Ball de Festa Major' (Main Festival Dance) with Xarop de Nit will close the event.
Mayor Jordi Puig highlighted the involvement of the Festival Committee, composed of the town's youth, with the support of the Town Council and the Brigada Jove (Young Brigade).
