The Llançà City Council announced this Friday the official postponement of the 2026 Carnival festivities, originally scheduled for this weekend, due to adverse weather conditions.

Weather inclemency has forced a change in the festive calendar of Llançà. According to the local government in Alt Empordà, the celebration will now take place on Saturday, February 28th, and Sunday, March 1st.

"The decision was made with safety in mind and so that everyone can enjoy the party as it deserves."
