The current mayor of Pont de Molins, Marie Louise Gournay Delaporte, who governs under the ERC banner, has announced her candidacy for the PSC in the 2027 municipal elections, aiming to continue her project.

The Partit dels Socialistes de Catalunya (PSC) has confirmed that Marie Louise Gournay Delaporte, currently serving as mayor of Pont de Molins for ERC, will be their lead candidate for the upcoming municipal elections in 2027. This decision marks a significant shift in the local political landscape, with the goal of consolidating the existing municipal project and embarking on a new political phase.
The socialist party has highlighted Gournay Delaporte's extensive experience in public management. As a senior civil engineering technician, she works at Fisersa, the municipal company of the Figueres City Council, a fact that, according to the party, has provided her with a deep understanding of public services and local administration.

"I adore my town and it is an honor to be its mayor. Now I want to continue working with more strength than ever to consolidate a project that puts people at the center."
