While the collada de Toses pass in Alp ranks as the fourth most dangerous spot in Spain by risk index, the town of Vilanant has recorded the highest number of actual accidents, with 20 incidents involving victims at kilometer 45.

Other critical points include Llançà and Vall de Bianya. Experts note that some of these dangerous stretches, particularly in the Pyrenees, maintain high risk levels despite low daily traffic volumes, highlighting the structural challenges of the route.
