The Castelló d'Empúries City Council has once again launched the Open Yards project at Ruiz Amado school, offering a safe leisure space open to the community until August 31st.

The project, which begins on Wednesday, July 8th, aims to provide a safe, dynamic leisure environment open to the participation of the entire community during the summer months. The space will be open from Mondays to Saturdays, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
A facilitator will propose activities adapted to different ages, promoting participation, shared play, and coexistence. Care and respect for common spaces will also be encouraged. Children under 9 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult to ensure safety and well-being.
The main objective is to offer free play spaces that foster peer relationships and family participation, contributing to community well-being during the summer. This initiative is part of the Educational Environment Plan of Castelló d'Empúries.
Through the Open Yards project, educational facilities are transformed into meeting and coexistence hubs beyond school hours, reinforcing their role as reference points for the community.
