Summer in Peralada arrives with a cultural and leisure agenda including guided tours, concerts, sardanas, popular festivals, and night walks during July and August.

The municipality of Peralada, along with Vilanova de la Muga, has scheduled a wide variety of activities to enjoy the summer outdoors. The proposals combine the discovery of local heritage with musical and festive offerings for all audiences.
The Summer Tours, available until August 31st, offer two itineraries to explore the heritage of Peralada and Vilanova de la Muga. In Vilanova de la Muga, visitors can discover the Romanesque paintings of Santa Eulàlia on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, for 5 euros. In Peralada, guided tours focus on medieval Peralada, departing from the Tourist Office on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, costing 6 euros. Advance booking and a minimum number of participants per language are required.
The festive program kicks off in mid-July with "El Vespreig!" on Friday, July 17th, featuring giant dances, a popular 'botifarrada' (sausage feast), and live music on Camí de la Garriga street. The musical calendar continues with sardanas by the Cobla Rossinyolets on Thursday, July 23rd, in Plaça Major de Vilanova, and the festival of Sant Nazari de les Olives on Saturday, July 25th.
Summer nights also invite walking with the Full Moon Walk, scheduled for Wednesday, July 29th, and Friday, August 28th, starting at 10 PM from the Centre. The municipal swimming pool will host the Mojito’s Chill Out Pool Party on Friday, July 31st, organized by the Associació de Joves de Peralada (Peralada Youth Association).
August begins with sea shanties by the group Badiades on Saturday, August 1st, on the terrace of La Sala, in Vilanova. Traditional music returns on Thursday, August 13th, with sardanas by La Principal de Peralada in Plaça Gran, followed by the Pantomatada on Saturday, August 15th.
The end of August includes the Short Film Festival "Courts-Circuit 66" on Friday, August 21st, and the 53rd Aplec de la Sardana on Sunday, August 30th, in Coromina Park, featuring several 'coblas' (Catalan brass bands).
This summer, Peralada and Vilanova de la Muga present themselves as open stages to enjoy heritage, popular culture, music, and family activities.
