The partial reopening of the motorway between Borrassà and Vilademuls slightly eases traffic, which remains closed southbound for repairs.

The AP-7 partially reopened two lanes northbound between Borrassà and Vilademuls this afternoon, January 13, although the southbound direction remains cut off, causing significant congestion on secondary roads in Alt Empordà.

The AP-7 motorway remains closed in the section from Borrassà to Vilademuls southbound due to the repair of damages caused by the five-day blockade maintained by local farmers near Pontós.
However, shortly before 4:00 PM this Tuesday, two lanes were able to reopen northbound after the road repair tasks were completed.
This situation generates complicated traffic on the alternative road network. On the N-II, there are retentions northbound between Bàscara and Vilademuls (from kilometer 736.00 to 731.00), and congestion southbound between Vilamalla and Figueres.
Traffic jams also affect other main roads in Alt Empordà. On the C-31, traffic is difficult between Far d'Empordà and Torroella de Fluvià northbound.
Finally, on the C-26, congestion has been reported both westbound (between Ordis and Navata, accessing the N-260) and eastbound (between Borrassà and Ordis).
