Renfe company today interrupted the circulation of the R11 line between Maçanet de la Selva and Figueres due to a tree falling onto the tracks caused by the storm.

The incident, caused by the strong storm affecting the area, has forced the complete halt of the entire R11 line service, as reported by Renfe. The impossibility of circulation is concentrated on the section connecting La Selva with Alt Empordà.
The rail service exceptionally terminates at Figueres, as it is not possible to continue the route from this point either by train or by road. Travelers heading south are redirected to the R1 line up to Maçanet-Massanes.

The interruption affects the section between Maçanet de la Selva and Figueres, where an alternative road service has been activated to minimize the impact on travelers.

From Maçanet-Massanes, an alternative road service has been established to cover the journey to Figueres. The interruption remains active since January 20, 2026 due to the damage caused by the storm.
