Railway service in this section of the Alt Empordà region experienced disruptions during the morning due to a technical issue with the infrastructure. According to the managing entity Adif, the failure was detected shortly after 9:30 AM, forcing the suspension of train movements.

The disruption initially affected the route between Vilamalla and Figueres, but the scale of the incident required the service suspension to be extended to the Portbou station to ensure passenger safety.

Although traffic has resumed, the operator Renfe is maintaining an alternative road service to cover travel between Flaçà, Figueres, and Portbou while service frequencies return to normal.
