During the Tourism Revolution 2.0 conference held at Hotel 1935, business leaders pointed out that the current mobility plan for the Girona region has not been updated since 2009. They argued that Roses needs modern planning to manage its 150 kilometers of streets and high seasonal traffic.
“"We must carry out a deep rethink of what Roses needs. If we want excellence, mobility must be perfectly coordinated."
The association proposed using the tourist tax to fund free public transport for visitors via a QR code system. Additionally, they called for the immediate construction of a bike lane connecting Santa Margarida to the Port of Roses, a project that has been pending for years to alleviate traffic congestion.
