The Infrastructure and Services Area of the Roses City Council has commissioned various repair and painting works at the Narcís Monturiol School over the summer. The objective is to improve the conservation and appearance of the educational center for the new school year.
The tasks, which have now concluded, included repairing walls in both classrooms and common areas, addressing defects such as holes, fissures, and cracks. Surfaces were prepared beforehand with sanding, cleaning, and priming to ensure good adhesion and a quality finish.
Subsequently, two coats of high-quality matte white paint were applied to the walls, achieving a uniform finish. Carpentry elements, including skirting boards, doors, and frames, have been painted blue, giving the center's spaces a new look.
These actions had a budget of 23,000 €. The councilor for Infrastructure and Services, Lluís Espada, has indicated that further similar interventions are planned during school holiday periods to maintain the municipality's educational centers in good condition without disrupting their activities.
