The Festival Commission has organized a celebration that will take place in various parts of the municipality over the weekend. The opening day, Friday, August 21st, will begin at nine in the evening in the square of Torroella with a popular dinner. The gastronomic offering includes bread with tomato, assorted cured meats, grilled chicken, pincho, botifarra, ice cream, drinks, and coffee. Registrations cost 20 euros and were paid in cash, with attendees needing to bring their own tableware.
After dinner, at half past eleven at night, the musical atmosphere will be provided by Víctor & Marky. The festivities will continue on Saturday with the focus on Vilacolum. Starting at midday, the sports area will host water inflatables and a foam party organized by Ludis, specifically designed for younger audiences.
At noon on Saturday, a communal rice dish will be served in the neighborhood hall of Vilacolum. In the afternoon, at half past six, the square of this village will be the stage for a sardana performance by the Cobla La Flama de Farners. On Saturday night, the celebration will move back to Torroella de Fluvià with a Youth Night starting at midnight, featuring performances by The Covers Band, Pelukass, and PD Ivanote.
On Sunday, Sant Tomàs de Fluvià will take the spotlight. At midday, a solemn mass will be held in the village church, highlighting its Romanesque paintings. Immediately after, there will be three sardanas with the Principal de Banyoles. The closing of the Festival will take place in Torroella de Fluvià starting at six in the evening, with a concert and dance by Montecarlo.
