The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested two 31-year-old men on January 25 on the AP-7 in Agullana, Alt Empordà, after finding 19 kilograms of hashish and 12,000 euros in cash hidden in their vehicle.

Agents from the Regional Operational Resources Area (ARRO) of the Mossos d'Esquadra were conducting surveillance tasks at the Porta Catalana service area, in Agullana, on January 25, when they noticed the two men eating inside their car.
Upon seeing the police presence, the suspects reacted immediately, fastening their seatbelts and attempting to leave the parking lot quickly. This behavior raised the suspicion of the officers, who stopped the vehicle a few meters down the road to proceed with a search.
During the search, the Mossos initially located a bag containing 12,000 euros in cash. Subsequently, they discovered the nineteen kilograms of hashish that were meticulously hidden in the compartment intended for the car's spare wheel.
The two detainees, aged 31 and with prior police records, were arrested for an alleged crime against public health. They were brought before the duty court in Figueres on January 27.
