Unió Esportiva Figueres faces a decisive January with five Primera Catalana matches to reverse its situation, as the team is currently only two points above the relegation zone.

The Figueres team, whose initial goal was to fight for promotion to the Lliga Elit, is currently tenth with fifteen points, twelve less than Juventus de Lloret, which holds the promotion spot. This gap forces the club to react immediately to secure permanence.

The current priority for Unió Esportiva Figueres is to consolidate their position in the category to face the second half of the season with guarantees of success.

The current reality contrasts sharply with the aspirations at the start of the season. Poor performance during the first eight match days has left the club with only a two-point margin over the relegation zone. The coaching duo Jordi Grabulosa and Arseni Comas, who replaced Hèctor Simón, have only been able to manage four games in almost two months.
Competition breaks and the suspension due to rain of the match against Granollers have complicated the task of consolidating improvement. The January schedule includes the derby against Lloret (Saturday 10), the visit to Caldes de Montbui (Saturday 17), and the recovery of the postponed match in Granollers (Wednesday 21). They will close the month with trips to Premià de Mar (Sunday 25) and hosting Torroella (Saturday 31).
