The alert for the incident was received shortly before 1:30 PM. The flames affected an area of approximately one thousand square meters, consisting mainly of reeds, brush, wood debris, and plastics, as well as a small shed located near a stream and several orchards.
To address the emergency, the extinguishing operation involved the mobilization of ten ground crews and two aerial units. The teams managed to stabilize and control the fire shortly before 4:00 PM.
As a preventive measure, the Mossos d'Esquadra proceeded to cut off traffic on the N-260 at the Llançà exit. Vehicles heading towards Portbou were diverted through the town center while the extinguishing work was underway.
