The trial against the driver who caused a fatal accident on the AP-7 near La Jonquera on June 10, 2023, resumed at the Provincial Court of Girona with testimony from several drivers and police officers.

The judicial session at the Provincial Court of Girona included the testimony of two drivers who were on the highway the day of the accident. The defendant was fleeing the French National Police and driving at high speed against traffic.
One witness recounted having to make a sharp turn of the wheel to avoid the vehicle coming directly towards them. The other driver, who was behind the victim's car, directly witnessed the frontal collision.

It was an impressive impact.

Agents of the French National Police also testified, confirming they had received the alert about the vehicle driving the wrong way. They attempted to intercept it but were unable to due to the high speed at which the driver was traveling.
