Having settled in Catalunya since 2001, David Pineda has maintained a close connection with his native Colombia and the family coffee farm, located in the department of Quindío, in the heart of the Coffee Axis. Recognizing the growing demand for product traceability, he created Montes del Quindío to manage the entire process, from planting to distribution in Spain.
“"It is not just about selling coffee; it is about bringing the consumer a product with origin, history, and care behind it."
The project is defined by its total traceability, as the family directly oversees the planting, harvesting, processing, and roasting at the source, near the farm. This comprehensive management ensures that the coffee, known for its smooth and aromatic profiles, maintains the essence of the Quindío land, which offers stable conditions for clean and balanced beans.
Pineda emphasizes that Montes del Quindío coffee is an exclusive product, with no intention of large-scale distribution. The philosophy focuses on offering an experience and a story behind the consumption, targeting people who value origin and quality over mere caffeine.
“"We are not looking to grow fast, but to do it well, with coherence."
