Young winger Biel Carreras, from Peralada, has been selected by the Catalan Amateur Selection to play in the intermediate phase of the UEFA Regions' Cup on Thursday, January 29, in Vilanova i la Geltrú.

Peralada is consolidated as one of the clubs with the highest representation in the Catalan Amateur Selection, contributing four footballers to the next call-up. This figure ties the record with Vic and Grama, making the 'xampanyer' team one of the main providers of Catalan talent.
Biel Carreras, born in 2006, joins the already regular players Carles Gallardo, Master Omar Kanteh, and Llorenç Busquets, all of whom participated in the first qualifying phase. Carreras was signed last summer from Figueres and has significantly increased his prominence under the orders of coach Àlex Marsal.
The winger and attacking midfielder, originally from Vilablareix, started the season in a substitute role, but since November he has established himself as an undisputed starter. His offensive contribution is key, having already scored three goals in Tercera RFEF.
The single-match knockout round against the Aragón selection will be played on Thursday, January 29, at 12:30 PM in Vilanova i la Geltrú. The winner will secure a spot in the National Final Phase of the competition.
