The Portbou Town Hall has approved two valuation reports to improve lighting in the Muntanya neighborhood and renovate parts of the Town Hall building's closures.
Through a decree dated August 4th, the report was approved to change the windows at the rear of the Town Hall and those on the second floor facing the main facade. This action, part of a phased renovation of the closures, has a budget of €45,420.62, partly funded by a €40,000 contribution from the Provincial Council.
In parallel, a decree dated August 31st approved the report to change and improve the lighting in the Muntanya neighborhood. 142 existing lampposts will be replaced with LED technology, light points will be redistributed to meet uniformity requirements, and a reduction of 57% in electricity consumption is projected. This intervention also aims to resolve recurring lighting system failures in this area of the municipality.
The works in the Muntanya neighborhood have a budget of €45,528.86 and also benefit from a €40,000 subsidy from the Provincial Council. The corresponding announcement for these two actions was published in the Official Provincial Gazette on September 16th.
