The gala, in its latest edition, aims to celebrate the key figures in the local sports scene, also serving as a meeting point for athletes, clubs, organizations, and families in Roses.
During the event, awards for the year 2026 and the 2025-2026 sports season will be presented. These distinctions are divided into five categories: Most Outstanding Athlete of the Year, Most Outstanding Team of the Year, Sports Promotion Award, Sports Projection Award, and Sports Career Award.
The selection of honourees was based on proposals from all sports clubs and organizations in Roses registered with the Municipal Registry of Citizen Entities, as well as from notable local athletes and public and private sports agents. Members of the Sports Department and the council also contributed to the nominations. The Sports Night Evaluation Committee will make the final selection of athletes and entities to be recognized at the gala, which will take place this Friday. The Roses City Council may also propose special mentions.
The trophy presented to each awardee will be a replica of the work “Trofeu Victòria,” a bronze piece created by the local sculptor Antonio Sánchez Santiago.
