The motion, which received affirmative votes from Fem Ventalló and Amunt Ventalló, was rejected at the Council meeting on October 28, 2026. The governing team, Gent de Ventalló, justified its opposing vote by stating that adequate signage already exists in the Mas Gros urbanization.
According to the governing team, actions taken in recent years, such as the placement of vertical signs, road painting, and the installation of speed bumps, along with efforts made to the Generalitat and the Diputació to improve access roads, have already addressed road safety. Nevertheless, they acknowledged that "everything can be improved" and that they are considering potential new measures in collaboration with local entities.
The governing team emphasized the importance of ensuring respect for and compliance with existing signage, while not ruling out new measures if problems persist. However, they considered that the motion's proposals did not solely guarantee this objective, which is why they cast a dissenting vote, stating they will continue working to improve the urbanization's road safety.
