The Mossos d'Esquadra dismantled an illegal marijuana plantation containing 882 plants inside a residential property in Vilanova de la Muga, arresting two men as alleged perpetrators.

The police operation took place in Vilanova de la Muga, where agents located the plantation distributed in the basement of a property. A total of 882 cannabis plants were seized.
As a result of the search, the Mossos d'Esquadra arrested two individuals, who are charged with a crime against public health for the possession and cultivation of the drug.
During the inspection, officers also confirmed that the house had a manipulated electrical connection used to power the plantation. Consequently, the detainees are also accused of electricity fraud.
In addition to the plants, the police confiscated equipment used for intensive cultivation, including specialized lamps and climate control systems.
