Workers from a company subcontracted by Adif are working intensively near the Renfe station in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia to stabilize the structure. This wall had similar characteristics to the one that collapsed in Gelida, making it one of the critical points of the Rodalies network recently detected and urgently repaired.
The cement structure in Sant Sadurní had been in poor condition for a long time. The pressure exerted by the rocks located at the top had caused a slight displacement of the wall, which is why urgent action was decided upon.
The current works involve removing some of these rocks, returning the wall to its initial state, and installing a safety mesh to guarantee long-term stability.
The affected area is located next to the track heading towards Barcelona, just over 50 meters from the Sant Sadurní halt. A few meters away from this location is also one of the variant bridges connecting the AP-7 with Sant Sadurní and the Gelida road, as well as the high-speed rail lines.
