The Alt Penedès Comarcal Council presented three new industrial estate business associations, attended by Minister Miquel Sàmper, to strengthen the region's productive sector.

The recognition event, held at the Comarcal Council headquarters, included the participation of the Minister of Business and Labour of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Miquel Sàmper, and the Deputy for Economic Development and Tourism of the Barcelona Provincial Council, Anna M. Martínez. The session emphasized institutional commitment to public-private cooperation as a key strategy for territorial progress.
This initiative is part of the industry support project promoted by the economic promotion service of the Alt Penedès Comarcal Council. The main goal is to improve the governance of the industrial estates and drive shared initiatives to tackle challenges such as the energy transition, efficient resource management, and digitalization.
The three entities presented are Avicugat Industrial (grouping companies from Avinyonet del Penedès and Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues), CEP Sant Sadurní (a cooperation hub in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia), and Xarxa Empresarial La Gelidenca (driven by companies in Gelida). These associations represent a new model of collaborative governance with local councils.

"from the Comarcal Council we provide the tools and help in many areas, and in this case, we have done so with industry. Today we take a small step, but a very important one."

Xavier Lluch · President of the Comarcal Council
