The Regional Councillor for Agriculture, Rural Environment and Local Products, Núria Catà, presented the 13th edition of the calendar, which is supported by the Xarxa Productes de la Terra network of the Diputació de Barcelona. This year's calendar is dedicated to garden products such as garlic, chard, calçots, broccoli, and onions, featuring photographs and recipes from the eight vegetable and garden produce companies in Alt Penedès that belong to the Network.
A total of 1,500 copies of the calendar have been printed. They will be distributed among the companies of the Associació de Productors Artesans Agroalimentaris, the vegetable producers, and the restaurants participating in the “El Penedès, tasta’l” project. Furthermore, the calendar details the project for the recovery of traditional agricultural varieties carried out by the Consell Comarcal’s Economic Promotion Service in collaboration with Eixarcolant.
“"Due to the participation of 6 companies from the Association in the Fira del Gall, in addition to distributing the calendar to customers, they will hand out tickets to participate in the raffle of a batch of artisan agro-food products."
The raffle for the artisan product baskets will take place on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the stand of the company “Vinyet, la melmelada Penedès” at the Fira del Gall. These joint initiatives by the Consell Comarcal, the Gremi Comarcal d’Hostaleria i Turisme, and the Associació d’Artesans Agroalimentaris emphasize the value of local products and reinforce the importance of proximity consumption in Alt Penedès.
