The Government spokesperson and Minister of Territory, Sílvia Paneque, announced this Tuesday that the Rodalies train service in Catalonia will not return to "normality" until next Monday.

The Minister detailed that service cuts and replacement services will remain in place until Friday, with affected sections gradually resuming operations over the weekend. The goal is for the service to run without alternative plans starting Monday, operating "as before the crisis," despite ongoing restrictions due to works on the R3 line and the accident in Gelida.

"It is not solved this way, but with work, rigor, and investments."

Paneque defended her department's management and ruled out any internal dismissals at Territory, although she admitted that "improvements" in user communication are necessary. Regarding the recent management changes at Renfe and Adif, she stated that the Government demands accountability for the service dysfunctions but does not propose specific names.
The Minister also addressed the request made by the parliamentary group Junts to take Adif and Renfe to court over the crisis. She rejected this path, stating that resolving the chaos “does not involve taking them to court.”
