The 2026 Vilafranca Radio Cup has confirmed five of the eight teams that will compete in this edition, which marks its 40th anniversary.

The 2026 Vilafranca Radio Cup football competition is beginning to take shape with the confirmation of its initial participants. So far, five of the eight teams set to compete in the tournament have secured their places. Four of these hail from Tercera Catalana: Espirall, Sant Sadurní, Molanta, and Riudebitlles. They have recently been joined by CF La Granada, who, despite missing out on promotion playoffs, will have the chance to contend for their third cup title.
The remaining three teams will be determined after the first promotion playoff round to Tercera Catalana concludes. The two losing teams from the matches between Puigdàlber and Martinenca, and between Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues and Monjos, will qualify. The third spot will be decided between Gelida and Can Cartró; if Gelida loses its playoff against Vallirana, Can Cartró will take the vacant place.
The official presentation of the competition and the draw for the quarter-finals will take place on June 1st in Sant Pere Molanta. This ceremonial event is hosted in the municipality of the previous year's champion, which was CF Molanta in 2025. The quarter-finals are scheduled for June 6th and 7th at L'Espirall, the semi-finals on June 13th, also at L'Espirall, and the grand final will be played on June 20th at the municipal stadium in Vilafranca del Penedès.
This year, the Vilafranca Radio Cup celebrates its 40th anniversary. The inaugural edition was held in 1986, and over four decades, it has established itself as one of the most significant football competitions in the Alt Penedès region.
