The ERC municipal group in Vilafranca del Penedès presented its security proposals this Monday, emphasizing a balanced approach between police presence and social welfare to address local safety concerns.

The party highlighted key agreements with the PSC-led local government, such as increasing the Local Police workforce and developing a new police station. These measures are complemented by urban planning improvements and the deployment of street educators to foster community coexistence in Vilafranca.

"Security is not only based on punitive or police actions, but on all actions that guarantee people's safety, from housing to employment."

Regarding legal challenges, Member of Parliament Lluïsa Llop stressed the importance of judicial speed in dealing with repeat offenders. Llop noted that ERC has secured the addition of 180 judges in Catalonia over the next two years to streamline legal processes and enhance public safety.
