The Esportiu Penedès athletics club has signed a strategic partnership with the Italian Prosport Atletica Firenze in Vilafranca del Penedès during the local club's 50th anniversary celebrations.

The agreement was made official on January 16 at Cal Figarot. This partnership aims to establish mutual monitoring of athletes, joint activities, and the sharing of training techniques between the two organizations.
Prosport Firenze, founded in 1971 and currently led by Fulvio Agresta, is a prestigious Italian club. It has hosted world-class athletes such as Olympic medalist Salvatore Antibo and world champion Said Aouita.

"This connection is very positive and parallels the existing harmony between Vilafranca and the Italian town of Melzo."

Francisco Romero · Mayor of Vilafranca del Penedès
