The Abraham Center in Vilafranca del Penedès, managed by Cáritas, is currently supporting 32 individuals facing extreme vulnerability due to the ongoing housing crisis in Catalonia.

Housing has become the main driver of social exclusion. According to the FOESSA Catalonia report, one in four people faces severe housing issues as rising rents and job insecurity push more residents out of the market.
Since last September, the facility has operated as a day center providing showers, breakfast, and laundry services. The users include young adults from the Trampolí project, managed by the Vilafranca City Council, as well as migrants and older adults living in poverty.

The center also offers a shared apartment on its upper floor for three residents. This space provides a temporary home for individuals like Franjo, a young man from Peru who found himself on the streets after losing his job a year ago.
