Swimmer Jan Gea, representing Club Natació Vilafranca, secured a silver medal in the combined breaststroke event at the Catalan Youth Championship held this week.

Jan Gea (born 2013) showcased exceptional technique, placing him among the best of his generation. His teammates Ivan Parra and Joaquín Castellví also earned diplomas, finishing 5th and 7th in their respective categories.
The Vilafranca relay teams performed strongly as well, with the men's 4x100 medley team finishing 6th and the women's team taking 7th place. These results highlight the club's resilience during a difficult season.
The club's success is particularly noteworthy as the local Complex Aquàtic competition pool in Vilafranca del Penedès remains closed for repairs following storm damage from July 12th last year, forcing athletes to train in other cities.
