The Catalan Football Federation (FCF) has ruled in favor of CF Gelida in their claim against Vallirana, awarding them a 0-3 victory and qualification for the Third Catalan promotion playoff final.

The FCF's decision alters the landscape of the Third Catalan promotion playoffs and, indirectly, the 2026 Ràdio Vilafranca Cup. CF Gelida, who had lost the second leg of their semi-final against Vallirana 0-1 after a 2-2 draw in the first leg, now sees the result overturned.
Gelida's protest was based on Vallirana fielding five players from the youth team of Penya Blaugrana Vallirana, Vallirana's affiliate club, when federation regulations permit a maximum of three. The FCF has accepted the claim, granting Gelida a 0-3 win and their place in the final against Athlètic Esparreguera.
This ruling has implications for the Ràdio Vilafranca Cup. Gelida, previously qualified for the quarter-finals against Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues, withdraws from the competition. Their place will be taken by CF Can Cartró, the highest-ranked Fourth Catalan team among those eliminated who had not secured a spot. The quarter-final match will be played on Sunday at 5:00 PM at the municipal field of l'Espirall.
