The Flama del Canigó will reach 25 municipalities in the Alt Penedès this year on Saint John's Eve, in an edition that celebrates the 25th anniversary of its distribution from Torrelles de Foix.

The official presentation of the event took place at the headquarters of Òmnium Alt Penedès. Although this year the flame will reach 25 of the 27 towns in the region, the organizers have already set a goal for next year to reach the entire territory.
The journey begins on June 23rd at noon, when the flame arrives in Torrelles de Foix from the Parlament de Catalunya. In the afternoon, the tradition moves to the Santuari de Foix, where various towns collect the fire. Later, the relay will continue on the mountain of Sant Pau, a meeting point for other municipalities, including the capital, Vilafranca del Penedès.
In Vilafranca del Penedès, the main event will take place at the plaça de la Vila starting at 8:00 PM, featuring the reading of the manifesto, musical performances, and traditional sardana dancing. A notable logistical addition is the collaboration of the ADF, which has been working for two years on fire prevention, a key factor given the extreme heat and high forest fire risk during these dates.
