Mossos d'Esquadra officers arrested a 25-year-old man on February 3 for his alleged involvement in three home burglaries in les Cabanyes and Font-rubí.

The incidents took place between January 16 and 22. The perpetrator took advantage of the night to enter homes, stealing valuables from bedrooms while the victims were asleep. These events caused significant social alarm in the Alt Penedès region.
The investigation gained momentum after January 23, when officers identified two suspicious individuals on a local road. One man was carrying a large amount of cash and jewelry he could not account for, which was later confirmed to be stolen from homes in les Cabanyes.
CCTV footage from one of the burgled homes was crucial for the final identification of the suspect. The Vilafranca del Penedès investigation unit continues to work on the case and does not rule out further arrests.
