Pere Martí i Bertran to Give Sant Jordi Keynote Speech in Vilafranca

The renowned author and educator will lead the institutional event on April 22 at the City Hall.

The writer and educator Pere Martí i Bertran has been selected to deliver the institutional Sant Jordi lecture in Vilafranca del Penedès on April 22.

The ceremony will take place at the Casa de la Vila session hall. Martí, born in 1952, is a prominent figure in the local literary scene and served as a professor at the Eugeni d'Ors Institute until his retirement in 2013.
Author of over thirty children's and youth books, Martí is also well-known for his work at Radio Vilafranca, where he has coordinated the literary program Llegir per sentir for over thirty years. His bibliography also includes the poetry book Taroda.
