The Xiquets de Reus delivered a notable performance at the Plaça del Mercadal this Saturday, achieving their first 9-level tower of the season, a successfully completed 3 of 9 with 'folre'.

The 'colla avellana' began the event with the 5 of 8 in the first round, followed by the 3 of 9 with 'folre' in the second. They then completed the 4 of 8 to conclude the main rounds. To finish, they raised a vano of 5 and five pilars of 4.
This performance confirms the progression of the Xiquets de Reus at a crucial point in the season, boosting their confidence for the final stretch and the possibility of competing for the 'tripleta màgica' in the upcoming Concurs de Castells.
The invited 'colles' also had significant performances. The Moixiganguers d’Igualada completed the 2 of 8 with 'folre', their second 4 of 9 with 'folre' of the year, and a 3 of 8. Meanwhile, the Castellers de Lleida completed the 4 of 8, recovered the tower of 8 with 'folre' (not completed since 2024), and finished with a 3 of 8 for the first time.
