Football teams from the Alt Penedès region are making strong progress towards promotion to Tercera Catalana. Puigdàlber and Monjos are positioning themselves as playoff finalists, while Cunit is on the brink of promotion after their first-leg victory.

The race for promotion to Tercera Catalana is entering its final stages for the teams in the Alt Penedès region. Currently, Puigdàlber and Monjos are emerging as clear candidates to contest the final of the playoff for Group 28 of the Fourth Division. Meanwhile, Cunit is on the verge of securing direct promotion after convincingly defeating UE La Nou de Gaià (4-2) in the first leg of the final for the Tarragona region groups.
Puigdàlber successfully resolved the first leg of their initial tie against Martinenca with a 0-2 scoreline, achieved shortly before halftime. This match was marked by some tension, as the two teams had recently faced each other in the regular league, with Martinenca having won the previous encounter.
For their part, AD Monjos, who reached the playoffs after an impressive streak of 11 consecutive league victories, secured a favorable 1-3 result against Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues, overturning the initial score. Salva Rojas's team has one foot in the final, confirming predictions that marked them as strong contenders.
In Group 26 of the Fourth Division, Gelida began their promotion campaign with a narrow 0-1 home defeat against Vallirana, who finished second in the regular league.
Cunit will have the opportunity to be promoted to Tercera Catalana this Sunday at 12 noon at the dirt pitch of UE La Nou de Gaià. They need to maintain the two-goal advantage secured in the first leg (4-2), where they had led 3-0. Adapting to the playing surface will be crucial for the visiting team.
