The Minister of Economy and Finance, Alícia Romero, visited Vilafranca del Penedès this Wednesday to present the new funding model agreed with the Spanish Government, which includes 4.7 billion euros in additional funds.

Speaking at the Fòrum Berger Balaguer, Romero emphasized that the proposal is a concrete reality rather than a distant possibility. The new system aims to replace the current model, which she described as unjust, and is expected to be fully implemented by 2027.

"The new funding model is not a future possibility, it is 4.7 billion euros more for Catalonia."
