School Pre-registration Dates Announced for Next Academic Year in Vilafranca and Alt Penedès

The online process for Infant and Primary education will start on March 4th, while applications for ESO will begin two days later.

The school pre-registration process for the next academic year in Vilafranca del Penedès and its educational zone will begin electronically on March 4th for Infant and Primary education, as reported by the City Council.

The pre-registration period for the Infant and Primary stages will open on March 4th, and the submission of applications for ESO will begin on March 6th. The deadline for both stages will be March 18th.
It should be noted that Vilafranca is considered a single zone for the Infant 3 to 6th grade Primary stages, granting priority to municipal residents. For ESO, the educational zone expands to include several municipalities in Alt Penedès, such as Avinyonet del Penedès, La Granada, Les Cabanyes, Olèrdola, Olesa de Bonesvalls, Pacs del Penedès, Puigdàlber, Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues, Santa Fe del Penedès, and Vilobí del Penedès.

Families can consult the calendar of open days for educational centers starting February 17th on the municipal website to learn about the center's projects.

Regarding municipal nurseries (Llar d'infants), pre-registration is scheduled for early May. The exact dates and all detailed information about the procedure will be published soon on the municipal website educacio.vilafranca.cat.
Before the start of the process, educational centers organize open days, which will begin on February 17th. Furthermore, the secondary schools in Vilafranca will organize a joint presentation session for ESO on Wednesday, February 25th, aimed at 6th-grade primary students and their families.
The Municipal Schooling Office (OME) will offer informative talks next week, specifically aimed at families registered in Vilafranca with children born in 2023.
