The initiative, offering 20 fully subsidized places, is designed for young people wishing to steer their professional careers towards the leisure sector. The Councilor for Youth, Montse Arroyo, along with Albert Mariscal and Emma Romaní from Fundesplai, presented the program, emphasizing that it "creates opportunities for young people to resume their studies and move towards training and professional pathways that open new future avenues".
The course leads to the official title of monitor for children's and youth leisure activities from the Generalitat de Catalunya. In addition to theoretical training, it includes an orientation process and familiarization with Vilafranca's resources and entities linked to leisure. Tresca Jove is organized by Fundesplai, supported by the municipal Youth Service, and funded by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce.
The training will take place at the Espai Jove La Nau from October 20 to December 24, 2026, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 2 pm. Subsequently, during the first quarter of 2027, students will complete a practical period and a final report to obtain the official qualification.
The curriculum employs a practical and experiential methodology to introduce young people to local leisure resources and entities. Councilor Montse Arroyo highlighted "the expertise of the professionals at La Nau who advise young people throughout the program".
Tresca Jove is aimed at individuals aged 18 to 29 registered with the Youth Guarantee scheme. Pre-registrations are now open via the form available at ja.cat/trescajove2026. After the application period, pre-registered individuals will be invited to an information session and an individual selection interview.
