The Vilafranca del Penedès Town Council has opened the application process for the 56th edition of the Cantada de Caramelles, scheduled for Friday, April 10, at Sant Joan Square.

Starting at 6:30 PM, the festival will showcase a blend of traditional folk songs and modern adaptations with local themes. This long-standing event is a key cultural highlight in the Alt Penedès region during the spring season.
Groups wishing to participate must register by Thursday, March 26, by contacting the local Culture department via email. Applicants need to provide the group's name, contact details, and the estimated number of performers.
In case of rain, the festivities will move to the Montserrat Junyent Auditorium at the Ateneu Municipal to ensure the 56th edition proceeds as planned regardless of the weather.
