The Vilafranca del Penedès City Council and Institut Vilafranca 2 have teamed up once again for the Adéu plàstics campaign to encourage sustainable habits in local municipal markets.

From February 24 to March 26, citizens shopping at the Verdura, Carn, and Sant Salvador markets can participate by using reusable containers. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the benefits of healthy, local products without plastic waste.
Customers who complete four sustainable purchases of at least 5 euros will receive gifts such as reusable bags or lunch boxes. Students will assist with the passport exchange on March 5, 12, 19, and 26.
Special interactive activities are also scheduled at the Sant Salvador Market on February 28 and March 6 to further engage the community in eco-friendly shopping practices.
