Vilobí del Penedès was the setting on Saturday, May 17th, for the Easter gathering of the Episcopal Vicariate of Penedès-Anoia-Garraf, which brought together about 300 parishioners.

The parish of Santa Maria de Vallformosa, in Vilobí del Penedès, hosted the traditional Easter gathering for the parishes and communities of the Episcopal Vicariate of Penedès-Anoia-Garraf last Saturday. The event brought together approximately 300 parishioners, presided over by the bishop of Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Xabier Gómez, and accompanied by the vicariate's priests and deacons.
The welcome address to attendees was given by the town's mayor, Ester Vallès, and the parish priest, Father Manolo Rodríguez. The mayor of les Cabanyes, Agustí Vallverdú, was also present. The organization was coordinated by the parishioners of the parishes of Vilobí, les Cabanyes, and Font-rubí, who form the Vallformosa Pastoral Unit.
The central moment of the day featured two workshops. The first included a testimony from the Pastoral Unit of Mare de Déu de la Mercè (from Vilanova i la Geltrú and Cubelles). The second workshop featured explanations from the episcopal delegate for pastoral outreach, Maria José Rodríguez, on the missionary conversion of parishes. Afterwards, a well-attended Eucharist was celebrated.
During the gathering, information was shared about the restructuring of the Vicariate's archpriestries, reducing them from four to three. The former archpriestries of Sant Sadurní and Piera-Capellades will merge to form the new archpriestry of Anoia, which will join the existing ones of Vilafranca del Penedès and Garraf. The event concluded with refreshments in the church square.
