The municipality in the Alt Penedès region is preparing for one of the year's most anticipated celebrations. The main attraction will be the VII Tasta-La Granada, held at the Centre Cívic. This gastronomic fair will highlight the local wines, cavas, proximity products, and restaurants.
The VII Tasta-La Granada will be open throughout the weekend. Hours are Saturday, October 10th, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM, while Sunday, October 11th, and Monday, October 12th, it will be open from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Participating establishments include Pastisseria-degustació La Granada, Vermuteria La Vinya, Restaurant El Sumoll, Cal Garriga, Restaurant El Tràfec, Celler Maset, Caves Miquel Pons, CAP Colomé, Ferré i Catasús, and Celler Cooperatiu de La Granada.
Among the highlights, on Saturday, October 10th, at 2:00 PM, a Popular Paella will be served, with tickets available for €8. The venue will also offer face painting, a box-climbing competition, and DJ music.
The festival program kicks off on Friday, October 9th, at 6:00 PM in the Plaça de l'Església with the Plantada de Bèsties (Beast Parade setup), featuring El Ruc de La Granada and invited figures. Saturday, October 10th, will focus on sports with the 9th Cronoescala de Santa Fe - La Granada, a solidarity race for the Food Bank. Sunday, October 11th, will feature the Popular Walk and Sardine Barbecue at 8:00 AM, organized by the Jove Agrupació Dionysos, followed by a fire show. Monday, October 12th, will be a family day with the Family Bike Ride at 11:00 AM, organized by the Bici Club Alt Penedès.
The La Granada Town Council has expressed gratitude for the involvement of local associations, volunteers, emergency services, and students from the Escola Jacint Verdaguer for their contribution to the festival.
