The Les Cabanyes City Council commemorates November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, with a program of awareness-raising, reflection, and participation activities under the slogan «We want to live free from gender-based violence».

The municipality has organized various events for children, youth, and adults to raise awareness about the importance of preventing and eradicating gender-based violence, fostering respect, and moving towards a more just and egalitarian society.
The program will begin on Monday, November 23rd, at 5:00 PM, at the Casal de Joves, with the workshop «Masculinities through Rap». This activity will use urban music to reflect on male stereotypes, relationships, and gender inequalities, questioning traditional models of masculinity.
On Wednesday, November 25th, at 6:00 PM, at the CCL La Valentina, the story «A Les Cabanyes volem volar lliures» (In Les Cabanyes we want to fly free) will be presented. After the reading, children will participate in a creative workshop to make butterflies with messages related to equality, friendship, respect, and freedom, which will decorate the center's entrance.
Finally, on Friday, November 27th, at 7:00 PM, in Sant Valentí, a new session of the Cicle Mares (Mothers' Cycle) will be held, a space for conversation and reflection on motherhood and women's experiences.
Through this program, the City Council reaffirms its commitment to gender equality and the fight against gender-based violence, promoting education, culture, and citizen participation.
