The Sant Pere de Riudebitlles City Council has launched a new range of workshops and activities to promote the learning and practice of Catalan among citizens, starting in October.

The initiatives are aimed at people with different levels of language knowledge and combine training, conversation, and social integration. Among the proposals is an official A1 Catalan course, which will allow participants to obtain the corresponding European framework certification. This course will last 90 hours and will take place twice a week at the Municipal Library, from 4 PM to 6 PM. Registrations can be made at the Escoles Velles and the Library.
Sant Pere de Riudebitlles is also joining the Vincles project by Òmnium Cultural, an initiative that promotes Catalan conversation meetups in a relaxed and informal atmosphere between Catalan speakers and those who wish to practice and improve their language skills.
Additionally, basic Catalan classes are offered for individuals looking to start learning the language. These sessions, led by Hassan Slim, will be held on Mondays from 10:30 AM to 12 PM at the Escoles Velles.
Through these initiatives, the City Council reaffirms its commitment to promoting the Catalan language and creating spaces for welcome, cohesion, and coexistence. The program offers various learning formats to suit individual needs, from obtaining an official qualification to practicing oral skills.
