The festival will include the 11th Transhumance Fair, the passage of the Camins de Vida flock through the municipality, family activities, a market, music, and various events related to the Camí Ramader de Marina.
The program begins on Thursday, October 1st, at 5:30 PM, with the activity "Create your bookmark" at the Library, by Talleretcraft, as part of the Viu el Parc program.
On Saturday, October 3rd, the Camins de Vida flock will arrive in the municipality with a welcome walk. The march starts at 10 AM from the Town Hall of Pacs del Penedès and is expected to reach the Tourist Information Point of the Monjos market around 1 PM. Times are approximate.
The central event, the 11th Transhumance Fair, will take place on Sunday, October 4th, from 10 AM to 2 PM, in front of the Tourist Information Point of the Monjos market. Visitors can find a market and tasting of wines, cavas, cheeses, and cured meats, as well as a craft and antique market.
The fair will also feature a display of sheep from local shepherds and goats from Camins de Vida, children's activities, giant games, and a family scavenger hunt. The day starts at 9 AM with traditional milking and fresh cheese making demonstration by Daniel Giraldo.
At 11 AM, there will be a parade for the 15th anniversary of the Ball de Pastoretes dels Monjos, starting from Molí de Vent square. Upon arrival at the fairgrounds, the Ball de Pastoretes dels Monjos and the Ball de Pastorets Les Miloqueres de la Ràpita will perform.
Sunday's program also includes the children's puppet show "Les aventures de Matito" (11 AM), by Arnau Colom; book presentations (11 AM-12 PM); the unveiling of the new character La Pastorina (12:30 PM); and a shepherds' gathering (1 PM). The fair concludes with a concert by Gala Cañís (1:15 PM).
On Monday, October 5th, the Camins de Vida flock will be at the market's Information Point for school and public visits (9:30 AM).
The program concludes on Tuesday, October 6th, with the flock's departure (10:30 AM), which will travel along Catalunya and Penedès avenues towards Vilanova and Cunit. In the afternoon, at 6 PM at the Molí del Foix, a workshop on plant fibers will be held, led by Carles Alcoy.
The exhibitions "El Camí ramader de Marina. De la Cerdanya al Penedès" (October 1st-15th at the Library) and "Transhumància: territori, oficis i món rural" (October 4th during the Fair) will complete the showcase.
As part of the festival, a working session will also take place on the protocol for recognizing, valuing, and conserving European transhumance routes (VIAE), with the participation of local shepherds.
